Charities Supported

St Mary’s supports organisations working locally, nationally and internationally. We do this through
prayer and action, with our members actively involved in volunteering locally at food banks, our community hub & clothing bank Cafe together and other community outreach initiatives.

The Mission Giving Subgroup, and Rev Elis Matthews, met to consider which nominated causes to support.

We also commit a percentage of our income, from giving, to nominated charities and causes. In 2025, we distributed the money between four charities. We are committed to giving £3,500 to The Church Mission Society every year to support our mission link in Ukraine but the other three causes were chosen from nominations submitted by members of the congregation. The Leprosy Mission, Christian Aid and 1st Osterley Scout Group were selected and each received £1,500.
